This German-american architect and director of the Bauhaus strove towards an architecture with a minimal framework of structural order balanced against the implied freedom of unobstructed free-flowing open space. Proportion II Bedside Table combines an eccentric and luxurious mix of black lacquer over silver leaf, radiant orchid lacquer over gold leaf, petrol blue lacquer and caviuna wood.
